UUM WINS THE BETA GAMMA SIGMA’S 2021 BEST PRACTICE IN CREATING CONNECTIONS

bgsUUM ONLINE: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has been recognized as the winner of Beta Gamma Sigma’s 2021 Best Practice in Creating Connections which was announced recently.

BGS Chapter UUM beat more than 615 global Chapters recognized by AACSB in 38 countries to successfully clinch the award.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani extended his heartiest congratulations on the success attained by BGS UUM Chapter.

According to him the success was very meaningful for UUM and would not have been possible if not for the commitment, dedication and hard work rendered by all members of BGS UUM Chapter.

"I hope BGS UUM Chapter will continue to strive to achieve success after success for the greater success of the University at the international arena and attain more outstanding achievements in the future," he said.

Each year, Beta Gamma Sigma recognizes the most outstanding Chapters at various levels namely Gold, Silver, Bronze and Best Practice. The award is a recognition of the merits of the Chapter that is involved in various Chapter and community activities. The Chapter must also demonstrate outstanding commitment to the mission of Beta Gamma Sigma.

The mission of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honorary Association is to encourage and recognize academic achievement in business studies, nurture and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, develop the values of the association and be of service to its lifelong members.

In addition to being recognized by the association through various events organised throughout the year, the Chapter which is recognized with the outstanding Best Practice award will also receive the Beta Gamma Sigma scholarship worth USD500 to be awarded to outstanding students.
