UUM RECEIVES KHAZANAH FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP SPONSORSHIP

 
UUM ONLINE: Khazanah Foundation has agreed to offer scholarships to students from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) COB and COLGIS, through its Khazanah Watan Scholarship Programme.

In response to the good news, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani expressed his gratitude that UUM was able to persuade Khazanah Foundation to allow the university's students to receive scholarship sponsorship.

According to him, the sponsorship of scholarships under the Khazanah Watan Scholarship Programme proves that the study programmes at UUM are comparable to other leading universities.

He stated that not all universities were eligible for the Khazanah Foundation scholarship, and that this was the first time Khazanah had recognised UUM through the programme.

“This is indeed a recognition for us, and the scholarship that will be received will indirectly help qualified students, thus encouraging them to study harder for the sake of UUM.

"I also congratulate the six schools at UUM COB and five more at UUM COLGIS whose study programmes have been chosen to receive this scholarship sponsorship," he said.
