UUM MEETS 56 NEW STUDENTS FROM KUBANG PASU DISTRICT

ikbnUUM ONLINE: Jitra - Yesterday, a total of 56 new students of the 2021/2022 Academic Session attended the UUM Prihatin Santuni Mahasiswa programme for Kubang Pasu Parliament conducted at IKBN Jitra.

Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor, officiated the motivation and presentation of contributions to students programme. He was accompanied by fellow community leader, Mr. Zainol Abidin Mohamad.

In his speech, Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah congratulated the students who were accepted to study at UUM after being chosen from hundreds of thousands of applicants.

According to him, UUM welcomes students to come to campus and experience the learning environment with the facilities provided, such as the option to meet with lecturers by appointment, in addition to getting to know and study with friends. This will undoubtedly be an altogether different experience than studying at home.

"While at UUM, study hard and gather as much experience as possible." However, remember that when you are successful in the future, you must serve your parents and the community.

"Because we are full of love at UUM, parents and guardians need not be concerned about their children's safety," he stated.

Meanwhile, Mr. Zainol encouraged UUM's new students to always obey their parents because they have made significant sacrifices. He also prayed for the students' success.

Fellow student, Ms. Chai Hui Shan, expressed her joy at being given the opportunity to further her studies at UUM, which has long been her ideal university.

"I also want to thank UUM for offering my first choice of major, the Bachelor of Accounting. I am eager to begin classes and participate in extracurricular activities at UUM.

"Not forgetting, my heartfelt gratitude goes to my family for always being there for me, and I promise that I will study hard and not disappoint them," she stated.

Ms. Nur Izzah Atirah Mafezzul, a Bachelor of Education (Guidance and Counselling) student, expressed hope that UUM will assist her in developing her identity and achieving her goals.
