The donated items were handed over by the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, who was accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor last Thursday.

With a total of MYR80,000 in funds from the UUM Alumni Centre, UUM was able to provide 1000 aid boxes containing essential items such as rice, milo, cooking oil, and personal care items.

Beginning on Monday, more than 60 UUM staff from KESKA, PERPATI, and SETIA joined forces and contributed their time and energy to prepare the aid boxes at the Tan Sri Othman Hall for three days.

Three lorries were mobilized to transport the relief supplies, which were then distributed to flood victims in the southern state.
