UUM-Bursa Malaysia Plans Collaborative Joint Ventures

Kuala Lumpur -UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani recently met with Bursa Malaysia Berhad Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift.

The meeting was aimed at discussing the Bursa Malaysia Chair at UUM which has been in existence since 1997.

In addition, both parties also discussed activities to be undertaken under the Bursa Malaysia Chair, particularly research on financial market instruments including securities, derivatives, bonds and offshore markets.

The concerning parties at Bursa Malaysia also expressed confidence that the activities that UUM will be leveraging through the Bursa Malaysia Chair will bring about mutual benefits.

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International), Prof Dr Yusnidah Ibrahim; Dean of the School of Economics, Finance and Banking (SEFB), Prof Dr Russayani Ismail; Director of Bursa Malaysia Corporate Strategy, Dr. Tan Wei Lin and Assistant Vice-President of Bursa Malaysia, Mdm. Surina Jaafar.
