UUM APPRECIATES SEFB'S SUCCESS OF REMAINING LISTED IN THE WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS

sefb rankingUUM ONLINE: The School of Economics, Finance and Banking (SEFB) has received a certificate of recognition following its success of being listed in the 201-250 band for Business and Economics subjects in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2022.

The certificate was presented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor. He also presented the Top 100 QS World University Rankings - Asia certificate to the Dean of SEFB, Prof. Dr. Russayani Ismail at the SEFB Meeting Room yesterday.

Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman stated that the accomplishments ranged from business and management to economics and econometrics, accounting, and finance.

"My heartfelt congratulations go out to everyone involved, including the Dean, Director, Head of Department, academic staff, and support staff, for their contribution to the university's success.

“Everyone has rendered their unwavering support and undivided commitment for the sake of this university. This success story is not short but has taken time to materialize,” he said.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Russayani expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the recognition, saying that it gave meaning to the entire SEFB staff.

According to her, the visit energised them to continue working hard to establish UUM on the global stage.

She went on to say that the achievement was the result of the hard work of all staff, both academic and administrative.

Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslina Kamaruddin, Deputy Director of Economy & Financial Policy Institute (ECOFI), stated that the increase in ranking demonstrated the dedication of all SEFB employees who are passionate about their work.

"Groupwork is essential in the creation of each output set.

"Hopefully, this performance will continue to improve in order to raise not only the UUM brand, but also SEFB on the international stage," she said.
