UUM And Hadhramout University, Yemen Set To Boost Cooperation

UUM AND HADHRAMOUT UNIVERSITY YEMEN SET TO BOOST COOPERATION

In conjunction with the two-day visit of delegates from the Hadhramout University (HU), Yemen to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), the delegation headed by its President, Prof Dr Mohammed Saeed Khanbash paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani at the Visitors’ Lounge recently.

At the meeting, both parties discussed the potential areas for collaboration between UUM and Hadhramout University in the future, among them being joint research on Middle East conflict which will be under the  auspices of School of International Studies (SOIS).

There was also a Letter of Intent (LoI) signing ceremony between UUM, represented by Vice-Chancellor and Hadhramout University, which was represented by its President.

Next, the delegation from HU visited the U-Assist.  Later, they attended a meeting with UUM senior officials at the Centre for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC).  Present to welcome the delegates was the Director of CIAC, Assoc.  Prof Dr Mohamad Farizal Rajemi.

The delegates from HU comprised the Vice President of Academic Affairs , Prof Dr Abdullah Salleh Ba-Beair; Vice President of Student Affairs, Prof Dr Salem Mubarak Al-Obathani; Vice President of Higher Education, Assoc.  Prof Dr Hadi Salem Al-Sabban, representative of HU in Malaysia, Dr Samir Salem Al-Bawri and Director-General of the President's Office, Mr Hussien Abdullah Bseleb.
