UUM And BCSL, Sri Lanka Explore Collaborative Opportunities

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Ayoib Che Ahmad received a courtesy visit from the delegates of Batticaloa Campus Sri Lanka (BCSL) at the Visitors’ Lounge recently.

The Chairman of BCSL, Hon. Dr. Mahamood Lebbe Alim Mohamed (M.L.A.M) Hezbollah who is the Governor of the Eastern Region cum Member of Parliament (MP) of Sri Lanka, met up with UUM officials to discuss the various potential for academic cooperation between Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and BCSL.

At the meeting, both parties agreed to send members of staff for training and conduct short-term programmes as well as the Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) programme.

In addition, the meeting also witnessed a ceremony where a Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed by Prof. Dr. Ayoib who represented UUM Vice-Chancellor and BCSL by Hon. Dr. M.L.A.M Hizbullah.

Present at the event were Managing Director of BCSL, Mr. Ahamed Hiras Hezbollah; Programme Manager of UUM Centre for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hisham Dzakiria and CIAC senior officials as well as representatives from several schools.
