TISSA-UUM Takes Bold Steps To Establish International Collaborations With UCR And NTU

TISSA UUM TAKES BOLD STEPS TO ESTABLISH INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS WITH UCR AND NTU

Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy, Universiti Utara Malaysia (TISSA-UUM) has taken bold steps internationally when it conducted discussions with two of the world's leading universities namely the University of California Riverside (UCR), the United States and Nottingham Trent University (NTU), United Kingdom in Kuala Lumpur, recently.

In the first meeting with representatives of UCR, the Regional Director for Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia, Mr. Boe Choi and Regional Director for China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Global Engagement Office, Mr. Yang Li among others discussed the potential collaborations between UCR and TISSA-UUM which could be seen as the starting point to foster closer cooperation between these two nations.

UCR is a recognized as the fastest-rising ranked university and is currently ranked 35th among the public universities in the United States, in addition to being place in the top 1 percent  of the world's prestigious public university.

UCR has also produced two Nobel Laureates and 10 of its academia are National Academies of Science and Medicine, USA appointees.

At the second meeting with NTU, represented by College International Manager, Business, Law and Social Sciences, NTU Global, Mr. Chris Crabot, both parties met and discussed potential programmes that would bring benefits to both universities namely student and academia exchange programmes as well as smart partnerships in conducting research and other short-term courses.

NTU is an AACSB and EQUIS accredited university.

Both meetings were represented by Deputy Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norhani Aripin; Head of Audit and Information Systems Department, Dr. Mudzamir Mohamed and Chairman of EPAS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rohaida Abdul Latif.
