The Vice-Chancellor Pays A Courtesy Visit To Qatar’s Ambassador To Malaysia And The Secretary General Of Treasury

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani paid a courtesy call to Qatar's Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Ambassador Fahad Mohammad Kafoud at the Qatar Embassy Office recently.

During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor expressed the desire to strengthen the UUM brand in Qatar and make UUM the top choice for tertiary education among the students in Qatar.

In addition, the Vice-Chancellor also hoped that His Excellency could help to promote UUM to Qatar students. His Excellency Ambassador Fahad agreed to provide support for that purpose.

At the end of the meeting, member of UUM Board of Directors, Dato' Muzammil Mohamad and also the Director of UUMKL, Prof. Dr. Shahimi Mohtar, extended an invitation to His Excellency Ambassador Fahad to visit UUM.

Later, the Vice- Chancellor met with Secretary-General of Treasury, Datuk Ahmad Badri Mohd Zahir at the KSP Office, Ministry of Finance in Putrajaya to discuss the agenda and issues related to UUM's financial generation and management as an autonomous university.
