STRATEGIC COOPERATION SETS UP DAKWAH PLATFORM TO SPREAD KNOWLEDGE ON INHERITANCE

mypusakaUUM ONLINE: The sealing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Pusaka Kuds Sdn Bhd (MyPusaka) will serve as a foundation for dakwah to spread knowledge about inheritance throughout the community.

Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, Vice-Chancellor of UUM, stated that with the expertise of both parties, he expressed confidence that UUM and MyPusaka will benefit from the collaboration and explore new opportunities in the area of inheritance.

According to him, the Memorandum of Understanding between UUM and MyPusaka will focus not only on research but also on the publication of works that will assist Muslims in particular in managing their property more systematically and fairly, ultimately putting them in a better position.

He also expressed confidence that MyPusaka would generate publications to educate the public about inheritance.

“This collaboration serves as a dakwah platform for both parties to demonstrate how systematic, fair, and organised Islam is in the management of inheritance.

"I am also confident that the knowledge possessed by UUM and MyPusaka can further strengthen the agenda set in this MoU for the good of the ummah," he said at the MoU signing ceremony between UUM and MyPusaka at the Visitors' Lounge yesterday afternoon.

The memorandum was signed by the Vice-Chancellor, while MyPusaka was represented by its founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kamarul Azman Mustapha Kamal.

Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman stated that he wanted the MoU signed to be taken to a level that is more than just an MoU, but that comes immediately through various programmes and research activities involving the community, so that the cooperation will eventually be a historical for both parties and the general public.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kamarul Azman expressed his delight that MyPusaka would be able to form a strategic partnership with UUM.

According to him, the signing was not only a starting point, but also the beginning of a journey that will lead to a result that will benefit MyPusaka, UUM, and the community.

He stated that the inheritance issue is a problem of the community, particularly Muslims, who are still unfamiliar with estate management.

“MyPusaka has organised talks across the country to bring this issue to light, and as a result, many of these inheritance cases have been resolved. What matters is that one must make plans.

“We want to nurture people who are not only wealthy but also have faith, kindness, and generosity. I believe MyPusaka will work together to achieve something positive, which will strengthen the country's economy and Muslims," he said.
