Recognized By Beta Gamma Sigma's 2019 Best Practice In Leadership Outstanding Chapter

Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has added yet another feather to its cap when it was selected as the recipient of the Gamma Sigma's 2019 Best Practice in Leadership Chapter Award from over 590 Gamma Sigma Beta (BGS) Chapters.

Each year, BGS identifies the most outstanding Chapter at Gold, Silver, Bronze level, and Best Practice. This award is a merit recognition presented to the Chapter which has a wide range of activities, programmes and events made available to their students and those who support BGS's mission throughout the year.

Each Chapter BGS is eligible to submit nominations for the Outstanding Chapter Awards based on the extent to which they support BGS's mission on campus i.e. - promote and recognize academic achievement in business studies, nurture and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, advance BGS values and serve lifetime members.

This mission is supported by four objectives - promoting and recognizing the academic achievement of business and management students through Chapter in business programs recognized by AACSB International; developing BGS members as students and professional leaders, and celebrating continued leadership and excellence; nurturing BGS members to have a constant commitment to the principles and values of the Association namely  honour and integrity, pursuit of wisdom, determination and service; connection between students and BGS alumni with each other and connect BGS students with opportunities in their professional lives.

2019 Best Practice in Leadership Chapter Award provides BGS scholarship amounting USD500 to the Chapter to be awarded to outstanding BGS students.
