Raja Azura Is The Recipient Of The 2019 Influential Leader AACSB Medal

RAJA AZURA IS THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2019 INFLUENTIAL LEADER AACSB MEDAL

Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Alumna, Raja Azura Raja Mahayuddin received the 2019 Influential Leader AACSB Medal. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni),Assoc. Prof. Dr Hendrik Lamsali, presented her with the medal at the Seminar C Hall, School of Technology Management & Logistics (STML) recently.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr Hendrik , the AACSB Influential Leader award was aimed at recognizing graduates from the College of Business (UUM COB) under the "AACSB Business Education" who had contributed significantly to their respective fields.

"This first-ever event is held to honor Raja Azura who has been chosen as 2019 Influential Leader AACSB. I extend my heartiest congratulations. For your information Raja Azura graduated in 1997 with a degree in Accountancy.

"Raja Azura is among the 33 winners from 13 countries who faced intense competition with candidates from almost 1,000 AACSB College of Business.  This is indeed recognition of the highest level for UUM in particular and Malaysia in general," he said.

He said the triumph brought by Raja Azura among others was due to the impact of her contribution to the development of the younger generation in Malaysia.

According to him, at UUM, she has contributed immensely as the Industry Advisory to the NOVAC Club and has helped make the club's activities especially connecting to the industry successful.  She also became the recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award for the support she rendered.

UUM COB has managed to fulfil 15 quality standards set by The Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB).

Most recently, Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) UUM received the 2019 Outstanding Chapter - Best Practice and BGS is an international honor society that is closely linked to AACSB.

UUM BGS students have so far been successfully.  To date they have received scholarships to attend leadership programmes in Geneva, New York, Cairo, Tsibaura Japan, Oklahoma, Chicago and Jakarta. Membership in BGS is the highest recognition received by UUM COB students.

Meanwhile, Raja Azura also delivered a lecture entitled Leadership @ Heart in front of students and campus community.

The ceremony was also attended by the Dean of PPA COB, Dr. Herman Shah Anuar; Deputy Dean of PPA COB, Dr. Muhammad Rosni Amir Hussin; Director of AACSB Accreditation Unit UUM COB, PPA COB coordinator and Novac Club Advisor.
