PRESENTATION OF UNIVERSITY’S LATEST ACHIEVEMENT DURING VIRTUAL COURTESY CALL TO MINISTER

kunjungan hormat menteriUUM ONLINE: Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor, recently made an online courtesy call to Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Minister of Higher Education, via the Zoom application.

The purpose of the courtesy call was to highlight UUM's most recent achievements and successes, such as rankings, research, and publications, in addition to student excellence.

The presentation focused on UUM's position in world ranking bodies such as QS World University Rankings (QSWUR) and Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, which revealed an encouraging leap in rankings involving QS World University Rankings (QSWUR) 2022, QSWUR Asia 2021, QSWUR Under 50 Years Old, QSWUR: Global MBA 2022, and QSWUR by Subject.

Furthermore, UUM was ranked in the THE World University Rankings 2022, THE Emerging Economies University Rankings 2021, THE Young Universities Rankings 2021, THE Asia University Rankings 2021, and THE World University Rankings by Subject.

Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman also apprised the Minister of the University's successful accreditation, certification, and international and national ratings, indicating that the university is on course to become the Eminent Management University at the global level.

As with other courtesy calls, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman briefly introduced UUM's general information, including the number of students and staff, to provide the Honourable Minister with an overview of the university's development over its nearly 38-year history.

Aside from that, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman made several recommendations to the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) to assist UUM in moving forward, as well as recommendations to assist the country in making progress, notably in the education sector.

Also present during the virtual visit were the Secretary General of MOHE, Dato' Seri Dr. Mazlan Yusoff; Director General of the Department of Higher Education, Dato' Dr. Husaini Omar and the senior officials of UUM.
