NEW STUDENTS ARE OVERJOYED TO BECOME STUDENTS OF UUM

pelajar sikUUM ONLINE: Sik The excitement of setting foot in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is clearly visible on the faces of new students who have received their respective offer letters to continue their studies at this university for the 2021/2022 academic session.

Ms. Nur Ainun Izzati Halim expressed her joy and gratitude upon receiving the offer letter from UUM to pursue her studies in the Bachelor of Muamalat Administration programme; moreover, UUM is her first-choice university to study at.

According to her, she decided to make her way to campus on 29 October in order to facilitate her studies, even though classes will be conducted entirely online.

“Being on campus will make it easier for me to study because it will provide me with comfortable and complete facilities, particularly in terms of internet connection.

"I fell in love with UUM after sending my brother who studied here a few years ago, and it motivated me to want to study here," said she who completed her Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM).

Her father, Mr. Halim Zainol, also expressed his delight and happiness that her daughter will be able to pursue her studies at UUM.

According to him, he hoped that his daughter, Nur Ainun would be able to study hard and follow her dream of becoming a successful bank officer.

Meanwhile, Mr. Muhammad Faiz Nasaruddin who recently completed his studies at the MARA Kuala Nerang Matriculation College expressed his excitement to study at UUM despite being away from his family for four years.

Furthermore, he stated that he was physically and mentally prepared to learn in the COVID-19 pandemic setting, which forced them to learn online, which he described as difficult.

"I'm hoping that the resources at UUM will help me focus more on studying hard," he said.

Another individual who completed her Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM), Ms. Anissa d/o Adun, expressed her delight at the prospect of continuing her studies at UUM in the Bachelor of Banking programme, a subject of her passion.

A total of 16 new students from the district of Sik were presented with their respective offer letters by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah as well as contributions from community leader, Dato’ Tajudin Abdullah, recently.
