Lecturer At SCIMPA Awarded The Johor Arts Award 2019

Mr. Mohd Fairuz Padoli, a lecturer at the School of Creative Industry Management and Performing Arts (SCIMPA) became the proud recipient of the Prize for the Category of Television (TV) Drama through his creative works entitled 'Ke Pintu Kaabah' at the Johor Arts Awards 2019, recently.

The award was presented by the Johor Menteri Besar, Dato' Osman Sapian at the Main Hall of the Sultan Abu Bakar Heritage Complex, Johor Heritage Foundation.

Mr. Mohd Fairuz, who writes under the pseudonym MF Kencana is no stranger to the Johor arts scene. He who has been presented with numerous awards since 2014 namely the “Anugerah Karyawan Johor 2016”, Darul Ta’zim Arts Prize and the Johor Young Writer Award 2014 expressed his deepest appreciation and gratitude to UUM for giving him the support and encouragement to continue producing creative works.

Meanwhile, Mr. Amiruddin Ali Hanafiah, head of the Johor Writers' Association, said 'Ke Pintu Kaabah' deserved to be named the winner as the work was laden with the elements of struggle, sacrifice and religion.
