EMPOWERING THE ASPIRATIONS OF THE EMINENT MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY

tvsUUM ONLINE: Poverty knows no religion or race, so it is imperative for educators to ensure that students succeed and that this is an opportunity to change their lives for the better.

Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), stated that lecturers believe in students' abilities and always apply values, such as love, respect, morals, and manners, in addition to academic excellence.

"Since UUM emphasises quality, our academic programmes are being strengthened not only from a theoretical standpoint, but also from a skill standpoint, because in today's world, not only a degree, but skills that add value to students, are required, and this is where UUM comes in.

In order to improve skills, we created an incubator programme for students to gain experience that will eventually allow them to open their own businesses."

"They have an idea to expand the business because they have been guided holistically in governance, finance, and human resources."

"This is what we want to highlight and thus provide a new paradigm in preparing graduates to enter the world of work," he said yesterday morning on TVS channel 122 Astro and myFreeview's Sejahtera Asia programme with the topic Empowering the Aspirations of Leading Management Universities: UUM.

According to him, UUM provides the necessary experience, knowledge, and skills, and the involvement of industry fosters cooperation and broadens the potential that can be developed.

Furthermore, he, who has been teaching for the past 22 years, shared his life story in order to inspire and convey a positive message to young people so that they can continue their struggle in life with optimism.
