Delegation From TM Discusses Potential Collaborations With UUM

UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani received a courtesy visit from delegates of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) led by its Chairman, Mr Rosli Man at the Visitors’ Lounge.

The visit was aimed at strengthening relations as well as to get better acquainted with one another whilst discussing potential long term and short term collaboration between UUM and TM.

The Vice-Chancellor also called for more of such collaborations be established between the university and industry for the sake of community development.

In addition, during the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor also described future plans of UUM, and he also extended an invitation and welcomed the idea of TM setting up a laboratory at UUM for research purposes in the field of technology.

Meanwhile Mr Rosli, said that TM was ready to help UUM achieve its goals if an agreement could be reached that was not solely about return on investment (ROI).

He also expressed hopes that both TM and UUM could work together in a win-win situation that would benefit both parties in the future.
