CONGRATULATIONS! UUM CROWNED CHAMPION OF NATIONAL LEVEL PUBLIC SPEAKING AND TAMIL QUIZ SEMMOZHI SANGAMAM 2.0

UUM ONLINE: Two Tamil orators from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) were crowned the champions of Tamil Language Speech and Tamil Quiz at the National Level Semmozhi Sangamam 2.0 Competition recently.

Mr. Yokesswaran s/o Cheladorai, a Bachelor of Media Technology student, was crowned the champion of Tamil Public Speaking, while Ms. Swathi d/o Thamilselvan, a Bachelor of Industrial Statistics student, was crowned the champion of the Tamil Quiz. In addition, another UUM student, Ms. Priyatharisini a/p Balakrishnan, a Bachelor of Banking student, finished third in the Tamil Quiz category.

The competition, organised by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Kelantan Campus, also drew the participation of other public universities, who competed in four categories namely public speaking, quizzes, poetry recitation, and spelling.

The success not only moved UUM to the forefront, but also fulfilled the UUM Student Excellence and Leadership Centre (UUM SELECT) strategy under the Award Recipient Project (A.R.T).

Mr. Yokesswaran and Ms. Swati each received a certificate of participation and RM200 cash, while Ms. Priyatharisini received a certificate of participation and RM100 cash. They were overjoyed with their victory in the competition.

As a result, the Eminent Management University will continue to advance with various student achievements at both the national and international levels.
