According to the programme director, Ms. Nur Aini Sofia, 17 students from Group A SISKOR Corps participated in a variety of activities, after completing two semesters of their education online.

She explained that the purpose of this camp is to instill the value of concern for members of the public who are in need of assistance, as well as to foster a spirit of cooperation, all while providing participants with the opportunity to put their classroom-learned survival skills into practise.

"This camp went well according to plan, even though there were many challenges, namely it rained incessantly from morning until night, but all of the participants and coaches remained enthusiastic," she said.

The students were also accompanied by an officer from the Alor Setar Prison, Mr. Mohd Hanif Hafizri. He was of great assistance in ensuring that all activities went smoothly.

He too shared his experiences working in the prison, by providing insight into the institution's history as well as its current operations.

SISKOR corps aims to educate students about prison organisation, history, and importance in national development.

Students will also learn about the Malaysian Prisons Department and the fundamentals of volunteering, acts, actions, prison rules and laws, and marching training.

Meanwhile, Ms. Nur Farisha Zainol expressed her satisfaction with the activity, which she described as the best adventure of her studies at UUM, as well as bonding with friends from the SISKOR Corps.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jagadeesan A/L Chandra Segaran expressed excitement about gaining meaningful experience and thus improving his level of identity.

He added that the participants gained an understanding of the value of teamwork throughout the course of the activity, particularly when they were required to overcome challenges without giving up and assist one another, such as when installing tents or climbing.
