ADAMAS UNIVERSITY SET TO COLLABORATE WITH UUM

adamasUUM ONLINE: Academicians at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) are encouraged to continue sharing their knowledge and experiences with the international academic community despite the fact that the world is still in the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, the use of digital platforms to host international conferences or workshops that bring together academics and researchers from around the world has become the new norm.

As a result, the Dean and Deputy Dean of Awang Had Salleh Graduate School (AHSGS) were invited to deliver the main presentation titled 'Exploring Frontiers in Collaborative Research Building Synergy and Mutual Goals' in conjunction with the International Workshop on Interdisciplinary Applications and Innovations in Research Methodology organised by Adamas University, Kolkata, India.

According to the Dean of AHSGS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hisham Dzakiria, UUM would like to expand its collaboration with Adamas University through AHSGS, including collaboration in research, seminars, and professional training, as well as an exchange of postgraduate students between the two institutions.

He stated that AHSGS and Adamas University could establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) so that future collaboration activities can be carried out.

Meanwhile, Dr. Siti Nazuar Sailin, Deputy Dean of AHSGS, expressed her delight at being invited to give a presentation entitled, ‘Exploring Heutagogical Tools for Conducting SoTL Research’ on the third day of the programme.

A total of 300 academicians, researchers, postgraduate students, and graduates from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka took part in the five-day programme.

The workshop was officiated by Dr Deependra Kumar Jha Adamas, the Vice-Chancellor of Adamas University, who also welcomed AHSGS's participation as a collaborative partner in the international workshop. He also expressed a strong desire to work more closely with UUM in the future.
