Strategic Studies

The aim of the Master of Science (Strategic Studies) programme is to produce graduates with the ability to think systematically and strategically when understanding, analysisng and addressing international issues across various disciplines relating to strategy. Students will be able to tackle emerging issues and challenges in the era of globaisation in their respective careers.  Upon their graduation, graduates should possess; a strong knowledge in cross-disciplinary areas relavent to strategic studies; comprehension on the main features and elements of the major strategic philosophies, both ancient and modern; background leading to the emergence of the main schools of thought in International Relations; understanding on the leadership organization and organizational units in the private, public and no-for-profit sectors; and knowledge and understanding of theories of leadership, styles of leadership, the relationship between leadership and management, and leadership in diverse workforces. 

The programme offers student with a variety of knowledge relating to the field of military, international relations, management, strategic and political science. The coursework offered will enhance the basic understanding of the components of strategic studies, enabling the students to become a better leader with the ability to critically analyse and effectively address issues and challenges, which may be related to social, political and economic development of the nation.

    2. PhD - 1,500 to 2,000 words
  2. Applicants without professional qualification (Bachelor of Education/ Diploma in Education/Certificate of Education) are required to attend and pass the courses as required by the University.
  3. PhD applicants need to attend interview related to field of study being applied.
