The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani was presented with the Best Practice in Leadership Outstanding Chapter Award 2019 which was awarded to the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Chapter UUM at the Beta Gamma Sigma Dean Appreciation Ceremony in conjunction with the AACSB International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM 2019) held in Edinburgh, Scotland in April 2019.

The Coordinator of BGS, Dr. Faizatul Akmar Abdul Nifa presented the award to the Vice-Chancellor, witnessed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hendrik Lamsali and Deputy Dean PPA COB, Dr. Muhammad Rosni Amir Hussin at the Vice-Chancellor's Meeting Room recently.

The award is indeed an acknowledgement to BGS Chapter UUM for being the only BGS Chapter in Asia to be listed as recipient of the Outstanding Chapter 2019 award out of a total of 600 BGS Chapters from 190 countries around the world.

At the same time, the recognition is also a testament of BGS Chapter UUM's commitment to be listed as the Highest Honour Chapter 17-18 to ensure that various opportunities are provided for in hopes of fostering self-improvement and leadership among its members.

This award qualifies BGS Chapter UUM to receive the coveted Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship worth USD500 to be awarded to outstanding and qualified BGS students.
