At STHEM, our purpose is to be a career accelerator for our students and an engine of growth for the local community, our nation, and the world. We provide the best possible education and training by combining theory and knowledge with practical experiences. Our students gain hands-on experience in the classroom and through industry experience. This experiential learning occurs through a variety of activities:

• Students in Hospitality receive hands-on training in cooking, serving and housekeeping
• Hospitality students  are trained to prepare four-course gourmet lunches at D’Hospitality Restaurant
• Tourism students are trained using ticketing software such as SABRE
