Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International Affairs), Prof. Dr. Yusnidah Ibrahim said, I.R. 4.0 accentuates the development and diffusion of virtual reality technology that would present a powerful impact on various aspects of life.
"Hence, the Public Institutions of Higher Education in Malaysia should offer co-curricular courses to prepare the students to face the advent of of I.R. 4.0," said Prof. Dr. Yusnidah during the Launching Ceremony of UUM Co-Curriculum Day 2018 at the Parade Ground, yesterday.
"I hope UUM students will make the most of all opportunities available at the University to improve yourselves and also to foster high-performance culture as a step towards preparing yourselves to take on greater challenges and responsibilities after you leave the university.
"In addition, students are also expected to make the most of UUM's Co-Curriculum Day as an avenue to hone the talents and creativity as well as to groom leadership capabilities," added the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International Affairs).
More than 2,000 students attended the Co-Curriculum Day and an impressive array of activities were lined-up including exhibitions, sales, aerobics, electric bicycle campus tour, martial arts demonstrations and performances by students at UUM Co-curriculum Center.
Also present at the event were the Acting Registrar, Mr. Baharudin Yaacob and the Director of Co-curriculum Center, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hussin Abdullah.
