Political Sciences

The aim of the programme is to produce graduates who can work independently, skilled, competent, creative and innovatice, with in-depth knowledge in their related areas of research and are able to contribute to the body of knowledge.

At the end of their studies, students are able to exhibit continued enhancement of knowledge and be ably to apply theories and models related to the areas of political sciences; synthesise knowledge to enhance the ability to make decision and solve problems creatively in various relations relavent to the areas of political sciences; exhibit high values and ethics in conductin the studies; able to work independently; communicate with experts and peers in the designated areas to spearhead advanced knowledge in research; and be able to consolidate knowlge and manage information for lifelong learning.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

  1. Research Proposal (for Programme by Research):
    1. Masters - 1,000 to 1,500 words
    2. PhD - 1,500 to 2,000 words
  2. Applicants without professional qualification (Bachelor of Education/ Diploma in Education/Certificate of Education) are required to attend and pass the courses as required by the University.
  3. PhD applicants need to attend interview related to field of study being applied.

  2. For self sponsored:
    1. Master candidate: Minimum balance of USD5,000.00 in own account
    2. Doctoral candidate: Minimum balance of USD10,000.00 in own account
