UUM ONLINE: The Asian Youth Indie Film Festival (AYIFF'18) - a festival which celebrates and recognises the artistic talents and work of students and indie artists returns for its third edition in 2018.
This year, AYIFF'18 is back in full swing and promises better and more activities along with impressive line-up of prominent local personalities in the creative arts industry, including Mamat Khalid, Dato' AC Mizal, Dato' Ramli Sarip, Sabri Yunus, Pekin Ibrahim, Dato' Eizlan Yusuf, Jaclyn Victor and many more.
Various activities have been slated for the two-day event including a Workshop on Animation by Giggle Garage and Fiesta Food Truck, as well as a Film Showcase & Busking Performance. On 10 April, more activities are scheduled including the Asian Future Education in Creative Industry for the 4th Industrial Revolution, Nikon Workshop, Workshop by Mamat Khalid and the highly anticipated AYIFF'18 Gala Night.
AYIFF 2018 was organised with the intent to appreciate and honour the work of students and Indie artists in film and animation, as well as to hone the talent of young and upcoming artists.
AYIFF 2018 received 176 local as well as international entries from India, Indonesia, Philippines and Singapore vying for top honours in various award categories i.e. Narrative Film, Documentary Film, Animation, Music Video and Public Service Announcement.
Moreover, AYIFF also opens its doors to schoolchildren to showcase their artistic talent in the Promising Young Minds category.
