Participants comprised Directors of various centres / Head of Departments, Principals of Student Residential Halls, Professional and Administrative Officers and Assistant Principals.
The objective of the course was to further enhance teamwork and cooperation amongst the members of staff at the Student Affairs Department in order to ensure that they would be full-fledged and dynamic staff who would be able to take on any challenges that come their way.
In addition, these participants were also instilled with the excellent work culture so as to ensure that students cum clients would receive efficient and effective services. The course also served as a means to motivate and rejuvenate the members of staff to work together to achieve the mission and vision of the University.
The Student Affairs Officers’ Strategic Enhancement Course was also aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of matters at the administrative division / respective units at the Department as well as establishing better communication amongst members of staff.
During the course, a special session with the Vice-Chancellor was held. During the session, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak stressed on the importance for the various departments to come up with plans or strategies to generate income and wealth for the University.
He reiterated the Student Residence (INASIS) should come up with ways to generate income through its assets and spend their revenue more prudently.
Also present at the course were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Assoc. Prof. Dr Abdul Malek Abdul Karim and Director of the Student Affairs Department, Dr Mohd Dino Khairri Shariffuddin.
