The forum was conducted to discuss issues pertaining the leadership management today and share experiences as well as to explore how to address the common challenges.
The forum was officiated by UUM Bursar, Mr Amron Man, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato’ Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak.
He who read the text of the Vice-Chancellor said the forum has brought together UUM members of staff and students who bound to face similar challenges ahead in the ever changing requirements and trends of the leadership management.
"The participation in the forum is beneficial as it is an opportunity for the IRB and UUM denizens as well as students to act efficiently and effectively in self-management as well as organisation management," he said.
Meanwhile, the IRB Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Management), Datuk Mohd Nizom Sairi in his speech said, in line with this year’s theme for IRB - Synergy Beyond Boundaries, it leads the IRB to explore potential collaborations outside its units, departments, divisions and organisations.
"This enables us to look for new opportunities via cooperation with various organisations including academic institutions in order to create strong synergies to improve achievement and service to our organisation," he said.
The forum featured two panel members namely Datuk Mohd Nizom and the Dean of Tunku Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA), Prof Dr Kamil Md Idris, while a senior lecturer from the School of Economics, Finance and Banking (SEFB) UUM COB, Dr Irwan Shah Zainal Abidin acted as the moderator.
Also present were the IRB State Director of Kedah/Perlis, Abdul Rahaman Kamaruzaman; the Director of the IRB Human Management Department, Latifah Zabidi; UUM and IRB senior officials as well as students.
