The objective of the roundtable discussion was to make an assessment of the current support and voting patterns ahead of the Sarawak state election expected to be held at any time. The Sarawak state election, last held on 16 April 2011, witnessed the domination of Barisan Nasional (BN) over the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seats when it secured 55 seats of the 71 seats contested.
This roundtable discussion was divided into two sessions, the first revolved around the title "Leadership and Policy of Adenan Satem in Sarawak: Issues and Challenges' with panellists, YBrs Assoc. Prof. Dr Jeniri Amir (UNIMAS), YBrs Assoc. Prof. Dr Stanley Bye Kadam Kiai (UNIMAS) and YBrs Dr Lee Kuok Ting (UMS), while Mr. Hans Yusof from Astro Awani was the moderator.
The second discussion involved the heading ' Issue on Candidate, Seat Distribution and Voting Patterns ahead of the Sarawak State Election'. YBrs. Assoc Prof Dr Awang Azman Awang Pawi (UM), YBrs Assoc. Prof. Dr Neilson Ilan Anak Mersat (UNIMAS) and Dr Lucy Sebli Seidelson (UNIMAS) were panellists and Dr Mohd Ainuddin Iskandar Lee Abdullah of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) was the moderator for the session.
Also present at the RTD was UUM Vice-Chancellor, YBhg Prof Dato' Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak the head of the Political, Security and International Affairs Cluster, NCP.
The Discussion was chaired by the Chief Executive Officer of NCP, YBhg Prof Datuk Dr Raduan Che Ros.
