The five-day working visit was led by UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak. The visit aims at forging closer ties with the Indonesian counterparts.
In Jakarta, UUM signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bakrie University and President University and in Bandung, UUM signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and a Research Collaboration Agreement with Telkom University and Universitas Komputer Indonesia (UNIKOM).
UUM also signed a matching grant with Telkom University amounting RM18, 000.
West Java Province is the largest and richest province in Indonesia and the people of West Java displays a deep appreciation of music.
Therefore, a Malaysia & Indonesia Edutainment programme (Education & Entertainment) was hosted as an initiative to promote the academic programmes in UUM through music and this has attracted the attention of the people in the province.
Dato’ Seri Vice-Chancellor was also presented with the opportunity to go live on air in a one-hour Talk Show at TVRI Bandung. The broadcast garnered as many as 44 milliom viewers.
The Vice-Chancellor was also interviewed at two radio stations in Bandung specifically Klite.Fm and Zora.Fm. These stations have a base of 40 million listeners.
In addition, UUM also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Pasundan, Bandung. An academic expo was also held at the same university.
