UUM Registrar, Mr. Mohammad Akhir Hj Yusof said that apart from resolving the various issues and problems faced by UUM staff in their daily dealings involving the Registrar Department, the programme also aims to become a platform to obtain crucial client feedback related to the services rendered by the staff at the Registrar’s department.
"It is important for every member of staff to resolve whatever problems related to their service records in order to avoid from encountering with problems at the end of their service in the future. Hence, it is our hope that members of UUM staff will seize the opportunity made available and benefit from it, especially in dealing with the everyday affairs involving the registrar’s department," he said this during the launching of the Registrar’s Department Meet the Clients Day at the Foyer of the Chancellery Building this morning.
He added that the Meet the Clients Day programme focuses on service delivery, based on customer needs where they are treated as individuals so that the issues raised could be resolved as soon as possible.
Present at the launching ceremony were the Treasurer, Mr. Amron Man; Deputy Registrar, Mr. BaharudinYaacob and President of the UUM Academic Staff Association (PERSATU), Assoc Prof Dr Nuarrual Hilal Md Dahlan.
The two-day Meet the Clients Day programme which takes place at the Foyer of the Chancellery Building, begins from 9:00 am until 5:00pm will end tomorrow.
Clarification on matters regarding staff record book and service book, pension calculations, leave and medical records, welfare and housing, performance evaluation, sabbatical and postdoctoral leave, review of university continuous assessment (PBU) points, promotion and change of image or photo in the profile remain the most popular amongst members of UUM staff.
In addition, briefings on various areas namely service of administrative staff, leave, medical and insurance, career development, sabbatical and postdoctoral leave and Exit Policy as well as performance evaluation have been planned throughout the two day.
