The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) Prof. Dr. Noor Azizi Ismail, who represented UUM Vice-Chancellor, signed the LoI with Ningxia Normal University, Northwest A&F University and Ningxia International Language College.
The commitment to strengthen the academic partnerships will certainly allow UUM to further establish the cooperation in the academic and non-academic activities such as student and staff exchange programmes, joint research projects, seminars and conferences as well as training and development programmes for lecturers, students and staff.
Prof. Dr. Noor Azizi said, UUM is committed to foster and establish closer ties with universities and colleges in China for our mutual benefits and we hope that this cooperation will strengthen UUM internationalisation efforts to continue to improve our positions in the world university rankings.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) was also involved in discussion sessions with delegations from several other universities such as the Ningxia University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and China University of Geosciences as well as other delegations from universities in the Arab states to introduce The World Association of Business Schools in Islamic Countries (WAiBS) as a sustainable platform for future collaborations between the Islamic countries and China.
The 3rd China–Arab States University Presidents Forum, held from 11-13 September 2015, has seen the participation of 500 delegations from the Presidents and Vice-Presidents of Arab and China universities. The delegations also visited the Ningxia University and Beifang University of Nationalities.
