The Vice-Chancellor was invited by the Imam for an official visit to Masjid An-Nabawi. He was introduced to an innovative Al-Quran learning and memorization technique implemented at Masjid An-Nabawi.
At the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor and Imam Masjid An-Nabawi discussed on the proposal to establish 'Darul Quran' di UUM, which is a working model of the Al-Quran Studies and Memorization method applied at Masjid An-Nabawi.
The Imam of Masjid An-Nabawi expressed his willingness to fully assist UUM to implement the same method as part of the co-curricular credit programme.
The programme will be offered as a co-curricular credit programme to Muslim students after obtaining the approval of the University Senate. The Vice-Chancellor also took the opportunity to forge new strategic partnership between UUM and Masjid An-Nabawi in organising seminars and other educational programmes.
At the same time, the Vice-Chancellor also had a discussion with the Deputy Rector of Academic, Islamic University of Madinah, on the plan to assist them in developing the management and business programmes at the Islamic University.
